The leadership of Enugu West Youth General Assembly has once again showered encomiums on the People’s Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu State on the major face-lift of the School of Midwifery situated in Awgu LGA, Enugu State, Nigeria.
There were reports that Gov. Ugwuanyi inspected ongoing upgrade of the School of Basic Midwifery and General Hospital Awgu in Enugu State.
According to reports, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State after attending the Requiem Mass for the accident victims of Presentation Nursery and Primary School, Awgu, yesterday, inspected the ongoing upgrade of facilities in the School of Basic Midwifery and General Hospital Awgu, in line with his administration’s intervention on health facilities across the state.
It would be recalled that the governor when he visited the health facilities a few months ago, promised to carry out a major upgrade to include construction of the access/internal roads.

The General Coordinator of EWYGA (Enugu West Youth General Assembly), Amb. Elvis Obinna Nwankwo, lauded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi whom he described as “the People’s Governor” as marker of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi’s people endearing personality anchored on his benevolent nature.
Amb. Nwankwo said, “The people’s Governor has done it again. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Lawrence Ugwuanyi, the Talk-and-Do Governor has done it again.
“One thing is for one to make a promise, another is to work towards bringing ones promise to life by making sure one fulfills it. A look at the school before the “fatherly touch” and quick intervention of our pathfinder governor was nothing to write home about.
“Our amiable and benevolent Governor deserves ocean of applause for fulfilling the promise he made to not just the people of Awgu, but, Enugu State people, at large.”
Awgu is a community under Enugu West senatorial zone. A zone where Ambassador Elvis Obinna Nwankwo who was popularly known for the “Up skill the Youth” initiative that saw more than 600 youths from the district trained and equipped enough to work in world class tech-firms serve as the leader of the youths organization popularly known as EWYGA.
Therefore one could therefore opiniate that renovation of the Awgu Midwifery school by Enugu State government must have touched Amb. Nwankwo personally as the school is under his sociopolitical district.
Amb. Nwankwo while appreciating the governor said, “Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a God’s sent for Ndi Enugu. Only God can bless Gburugburu for us. Seeing good works of this kind makes us always affirm that Enugu State is indeed in the hands of God.”
