Petroleum stations across Nigeria will now sell premium motor spirit at N148.5 per liter as from this morning.
According to our observations early Wednesday morning, a sizeable number of petrol stations in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, were under lock.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity with a source close to the leadership of the petroleum-related unions, he said the new price became necessary following the N6 added to the purchasing price by the federal government. “So we also added N5 to the N143.8 we were selling before. Initially, we were confused as to to how much we would be selling. That was why we did not open early.”
